01 / The issue

Why this decision deserves attention.

TapNow wanted to acquire U.S. users but needed creative that felt culturally relevant rather than translated from its home market.

The company used TikTok Creative Challenge to brief multiple creators, then ran the resulting videos with an app-install objective.

TikTok reports 28 videos in four weeks, a 48% lower cost per install and a 148% uplift in conversion rate compared with an earlier period using brand creative. Those are platform-reported results, not Ten Million results.

02 / The principle

What the evidence tells us.

Social video is a testing system, not a single hero film. The leverage comes from a clear brief, multiple hooks and creators who resemble the target user—followed by disciplined iteration on retention and conversion signals.

03 / The decision

What to change in the way you work.

  1. 01

Move from a single brand-led concept to a portfolio of creator interpretations.

  2. 02

Make the app and its outcome visible inside the video instead of relying on abstract brand claims.

  3. 03

Use performance data to refresh hooks before creative fatigue raises acquisition cost.

04 / How Ten Million helps

Social video & ads

For a product at this stage, we turn the lesson into concrete working material:

  • A creative strategy tied to one audience and conversion event
  • Hook, proof, demo and CTA script templates
  • Creator briefs and a shot list for vertical video
  • A testing matrix for concepts, openings and calls to action

05 / Builder playbook

What to do this week.

  1. 01

Collect ten real user situations and turn each into a hook, not a slogan.

  2. 02

Produce three concepts with three openings each before increasing spend.

  3. 03

Show the product solving the problem in the first narrative beat.

  4. 04

Review hold rate, click-through and conversion together; do not optimize for views alone.
